Terrorists hurl grenade at Kashmir beauty parlour, three girls injured
Days after Islami Markazi Majlis-e-Shoura issued a diktat against the women in Kishtwar district of Jammu, suspected militants attacked a beauty parlour with grenade injuring three girls in Rajpora Chowk of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday.
Police said the incident occurred in the evening when unidentified ultras lobbed a powerful grenade at the beauty parlour, which however missed the target and exploded outside the premises. Three girls were injured in the incident. Police said the two of the girls had gone for applying Heena when they received splinter injuries.
“The girls suffered minor splinter injuries and were discharged after first aid. They had visited the parlour to apply Mehndi on their hands when the explosion occurred. Apparently the beauty parlour was the target,” said Mohammad Aslam, senior superintendent of police, Pulwama.
Security forces immediately cordoned off the area to hunt down the ultras responsible for the incident. Reinforcements were also rushed in to augment the forces on ground in a bid to keep stone pelters at bay. Police also collected the splinters for forensic examination to unravel the truth.
