New Delhi: The artists’ community housing puppeteers, magicians, acrobats, storytellers, folk dancers and painters at west Delhi’s Kathputli Colony seemed like a wartorn place on Monday with the Delhi Development Authority demolishing over 400 jhuggis there amid protests and stone-pelting from residents. The police had to resort to tear gas shells and lathicharge.
