Seven wanted crim­i­nals ar­rested in 2 sep­a­rate en­coun­ters at Noida

Noida: At least seven wanted crim­i­nals were ar­rested by po­lice in two dif­fer­ent en­coun­ters in Greater Noida on Mon­day. The po­lice said that a con­sta­ble of crime branch also sus­tained bul­let in­juries in one of the in­ci­dents.

Ac­cord­ing to po­lice, the ac­cused fired at po­lice party when they tried to stop them as they tried to flee af­ter com­mit­ting the crime. The crim­i­nals got in­jured dur­ing re­tal­ia­tory fir­ing.

In first in­ci­dent, the po­lice shot at three ac­cused around 1:12 am near Pak­shi Vi­har colony in the Su­ra­jpur area of Greater Noida on the in­ter­ven­ing night of Sun­day and Mon­day.

“We re­ceived in­for­ma­tion on the po­lice con­trol room that three crim­i­nals are try­ing to flee on a mo­tor­cy­cle af­ter com­mit­ting a rob­bery at an HDFC bank ATM in vil­lage Dewla. A po­lice team was pressed into ac­tion and dur­ing the chase, the crim­i­nals opened gun­fire on the po­lice. We fired back in re­tal­i­a­tion and the bul­let hit two crim­i­nals in the leg. How­ever, one of the ac­com­plices man­aged to flee from the spot tak­ing ad­van­tage of the dark” said Pankaj Rai, sta­tion house of­fi­cer, Su­ra­jpur po­lice sta­tion.

In an­other en­counter, the Bis­rakh po­lice ar­rested five per­sons af­ter they al­legedly fired at the po­lice party at Khair­pur round­about af­ter the crime branch had got secret in­for­ma­tion about the five peo­ple robbing pas­sen­gers in their car by of­fer­ing them lift.
