Span­ish Talgo train trial starts in Bareilly to­day

The Span­ish train set from Talgo will have its first trial on the Bareilly- Mo­rad­abad- Sa­ha­ran­pur sec­tion in Ut­tar Pradesh at 8.30am on Sun­day. Rail­way board chief spokesper­son Anil Saxena con­firmed the re­port to dna.

“The Talgo train of Spain is start­ing its first trial on May 29 around 8.30am from the Bareilly sta­tion in Ut­tar Pradesh un­der Iz­zat­na­gar rail­way di­vi­sion of North East­ern Rail­ways,” said Saxena.

The train will be tested in three phases. “The first phase is the Bareilly- Mo­rad­abad- Sa­ha­ran­pur sec­tion, which starts on Sun­day morn­ing. Phase two will be Mathura- Pal­wal sec­tion, while the third phase would be the Del­hiMum­bai sec­tion,” said Saxena.

Ex­plain­ing how the rail­ways planned to go about the tri­als, Saxena said, “In each phase, the tri­als to be car­ried out will fo­cus on dif­fer­ent sce­nar­ios. Tri­als may also be planned for some other sec­tions, as de­cided by the rail­way board, depend­ing upon the out­come of Mathura- Pal­wal leg of tri­als.” The com­pletely im­ported train set has nine coaches.
