Spanish Talgo train trial starts in Bareilly today
The Spanish train set from Talgo will have its first trial on the Bareilly- Moradabad- Saharanpur section in Uttar Pradesh at 8.30am on Sunday. Railway board chief spokesperson Anil Saxena confirmed the report to dna.
“The Talgo train of Spain is starting its first trial on May 29 around 8.30am from the Bareilly station in Uttar Pradesh under Izzatnagar railway division of North Eastern Railways,” said Saxena.
The train will be tested in three phases. “The first phase is the Bareilly- Moradabad- Saharanpur section, which starts on Sunday morning. Phase two will be Mathura- Palwal section, while the third phase would be the DelhiMumbai section,” said Saxena.
Explaining how the railways planned to go about the trials, Saxena said, “In each phase, the trials to be carried out will focus on different scenarios. Trials may also be planned for some other sections, as decided by the railway board, depending upon the outcome of Mathura- Palwal leg of trials.” The completely imported train set has nine coaches.
