Rachel’s world

From her first sculpture show at the Carlisle Gallery in 1988 and first public work in 1993 in London’s East End – the cast of a house interior that won the Turner Prize – to her most recent commissions from last year, Tate Britain’s in-depth show on Rachel Whiteread (until 21.1.2018) displays her wide-ranging oeuvre: from the monumental to more intimate dimensions of her highly personal casting techniques to materials of all kinds: like plaster, resin, rubber, concrete, metal and paper.
