IN SALINE con­di­tions, the same wa­ter­ing pat­tern can have op­po­site im­pact on the pro­duc­tiv­ity of crops. A re­duc­tion in fre­quency of wa­ter­ing im­proves pro­duc­tiv­ity of tomato in saline con­di­tions. But the pro­duc­tiv­ity of lady's fin­ger goes down if wa­ter­ing fre­quency is de­creased and in­creases when wa­ter­ing fre­quency is in­creased.
