Librarians are important

Down to Earth - - ON THE WEB - SRI AMUDHA S

This is with reference to "Rethinking IP think-tank," (December 1-15, 2014). I think librarians have more to do with intellectual property rights (IPR). Librarians are information gatekeepers, ensuring the free flow of scholarly information across the globe. They are the ones who deal with academic contents of our entire nation and the IPR issues tagged along with them. I suggest that it would be wise to include experts from library and information science in the panel while developing IPR policy.
