year after coming to power, the National Democratic Alliance government has declared its Foreign Trade Policy 2015-20. It focuses on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "Make in India" initiative and gives a major boost to exports. It has introduced two schemes "Merchandise Exports From India Scheme" and "Services Exports From India Scheme", under which incentives and rebates will be given for the export of specific goods to specific markets. To revive the ailing Special Economic Zones (SEZs), introduced during the earlier NDA government and that faced resistance from communities, will be covered under these two schemes. This will ensure that SEZs are able to reduce their operation cost and make profit.
