A mess called Ganga

Down to Earth - - LETTERS -

I am disappointed by the article, "Ganga bazaar" (16-31 May, 2015). I was expecting an analysis, a solution. The story had neither. If Ganga needs water, how much does it need, and where will it come from?

DTE replies:

Down To Earth's cover story, "Can we save Ganga?" (July 16-31, 2014) gives an in-depth analysis of the problems ailing the river and proposes measures for its revival. Kindly refer to it for more information.

We used wrong photographs of Sekhar Raghavan of the Rain Centre in Chennai and Sumiran Pandya, Gaatha co-founder, in "A journey called change" (May 1-15, 2015) and "Crafted tales" (May 16-31, 2015), respectively. We regret the errors.
