Clean Delhi's air

Down to Earth - - LETTERS - BUDDHA BAGAI (VIA EMAIL)

This is with reference to the editorial Deadly Air: Face it (1-15 August, 2015). If diesel is primarily responsible for toxic pollution in Delhi along with transiting trucks, should we not consider installation of diesel filters? Also, while the resumption of the Western and Eastern Expressways has been mentioned in the media, what is the status of the Kalindi Bypass which was about to be completed? One way to reduce diesel emissions in Delhi would be to decongest the Mathura Road, which in turn would reduce the travel time of diesel-spewing vehicles.
