For this, our team of 30 scientists has adopted a two-pronged strategy: one, to improve capacity in Under the Physics and Dynamics of Tropical Clouds programme of iitm,we study mechanisms of convection and circulation that result in cloud formation and rainfall. We also try to better understand the relation between pollution and cloud formation and how pollution affects rainfall.
