Efficient material

Down to Earth - - SCIENCE -

P H Y S I C I S T S H AV E created an artificial material similar to graphene. It conducts heat and electricity efficiently and is nearly transparent. Transistors made from this material are faster and more heat tolerant than existing silicon ones. This makes it more suitable for making efficient computers and next-generation flexible electronics. The discovery provides us the ability to create structures for many other elements. Physical Review Letters, February 1
