NAN­OTECH­NOL­OGY HAS thrown up an amaz­ing dis­cov­ery. Re­searchers have de­vel­oped a cheap and ef­fi­cient method to grow spe­cial nanos­truc­tures, which can de­grade or­ganic mat­ter when ex­posed to light. The dis­cov­ery holds a range of ap­pli­ca­tions, in­clud­ing nano-en­hanced textiles that can spon­ta­neously clean stains sim­ply when put un­der a light bulb.
