MAIT gets a new pres­i­dent and VP

MAIT, the apex body rep­re­sent­ing In­dia’s IT hard­ware, train­ing and R&D ser­vices sec­tors, or­ga­nized its 29th An­nual Ses­sion. The event also marked change of guards at the as­so­ci­a­tion with JV Ra­ma­murthy, pres­i­dent, HCL In­fos­ys­tems tak­ing over as the new pres­i­dent and Amar Babu, MD, Lenevo as its VP for the term 2012-13. An­nounc­ing the pres­i­dent and the VP for 2012-13, Dr Alok Bharad­waj, pres­i­dent MAIT (for 2011-12) said, “We are pleased to have Ra­ma­murthy on board as the pres­i­dent of MAIT. An in­dus­try vet­eran, with in-depth ex­po­sure to var­i­ous as­pects of the IT in­dus­try, he is im­mensely re­spected in the in­dus­try for his in­ci­sive vi­sion and as­tute knowl­edge. We are also de­lighted to have Babu as our VP. Both have con­trib­uted im­mensely to the de­vel­op­ment of IT mar­ket in the coun­try. With their vast ex­pe­ri­ence, they will add im­mense value to­wards aug­ment­ing and fur­ther­ing the IT in­dus­try ecosys­tem in the coun­try.”
