Started distribution of HP products to DGS&D
Added Philips in the product portfolio
Savex Technologies, formerly known as Savex Computers, has emerged as the 4th largest ICT distributor in the country despite registering a marginal growth. The withdrawal of notebooks category from one of its main principals Samsung was the reason; even Samsung smartphones did not grow as expected. However, the other major brand, HP, recorded a good growth. In FY15, Savex executed large value High Performance Computing (HPC) orders for various R&D institutes in the range of ` 35-40 crores each. Besides, it started the distribution of HP products to DGS&D.
The company also added new product categories in its kitty, including the distribution of Samsung’s commercial TVs to the hospitality industry. Since Savex is the exclusive distributor for HP World, it expanded the business in this domain too. Moreover, the company deployed resources in growing the enterprise business in terms of demo centres. Savex also organized more than 100 partner events in the year 2014-15 for all its product segments. It also added Philips to its portfolio. As of date, the company has 43 warehouses and 30 sales points across the country. This means that it
has altogether 73 points of presence in the country, which is one of the largest for any distribution company.
