No mat­ters from where you be­long, no mat­ter from where you have started, its all about pas­sion, ded­i­ca­tion and hard work. Born in a very poor mid­dle fam­ily in North East, Pawan Ku­mar Agar­walla is now suc­cess­ful en­tre­pre­neur and founder of Data­ma­tion, one of the most re­puted IT Houses of the North East shares his jour­ney of Data­ma­tion in can­did in­ter­ac­tion with DQ Chan­nels.

Pawan Ku­mar has done his school­ing in a small vil­lage in Nakachari, Jorhat and com­pleted his grad­u­a­tion in Math­e­mat­ics from JB Col­lege, Jorhat. He did his PG in Math­e­mat­ics from Gawa­hati Univer­sity and af­ter that pur­sued a Com­puter Diploma from Birla In­sti­tute, Mum­bai.

Be­ing born in a poor mid­dle­class fam­ily in a tea gar­den, he never felt that he was poor rea­son be­ing tons of love that he got from his par­ents as well as dreams he was plant­ing each day.

“I passed my 10th exam with­out elec­tric­ity at home but I never felt my­self poor be­cause my par­ents al­ways sup­ported me thor­oughly dur­ing my ini­tial days of ca­reer. They gave me so much love care and what­ever I needed those days and ful­filled all my de­sires. Due to bless­ings of my par­ents, I have achieved what­ever wanted to” he rec­ol­lects.

Pawan started his com­pany in the name of Data­ma­tion in the year 1989 with the sup­port of his fam­ily with a vi­sion to reach at higher lev­els of suc­cess along with pro­vid­ing so­ci­ety a wide range of IT ser­vices.

In a very short pe­riod, Data­ma­tion started selling the latest gad­gets like i-phone, mo­bile, lap­tops, smart phones to ev­ery nook and cor­ner of NE and to top busi­ness­men, teach­ers, govt. de­part­ments and so on and so forth.

Be­ing a dili­gent and coura­geous per­son, he is now one of the lead­ing sup­pli­ers of all lead­ing IT brands like HP, Canon, Sony, Asus, etc in North eastern area and car­ries a qual­ity of quick de­ci­sion mak­ing. Pawan keeps on trav­el­ing around the world to cap­ture the techno trend ideas and im­ple­ment in our coun­try. He has also trav­eled in more than 50 coun­tries on in­vi­ta­tion of World’s lead­ing IT com­pa­nies.

While ex­plor­ing the op­por­tu­nity to meet global CEOs of IT com­pa­nies like Mi­crosoft, Asus, In­tel, Sony, HP etc he has gained lots of pos­i­tive energy and in­spi­ra­tion from their achieve­ments.

Ku­mar and his com­pany have re­ceived more than two hun­dred awards from dif­fer­ent or­ga­ni­za­tions, ven­dors, com­pany, media etc. Com­pany has been con­tin­u­ously re­ceiv­ing the awards of recor­ga­ni­za­tion, best dis­trib­u­tor of the re­gion from top IT ven­dors of the world. He trea­sured knowl­edge and ex­pe­ri­ences from his jour­neys and meets which helped his com­pany to be­come a trust wor­thy com­pany and ser­vice provider.

Ku­mar was the pres­i­dent of Com­puter As­so­ci­a­tion of North East for five years and con­trib­uted his ex­pe­ri­ence in up­lift­ing the as­so­ci­a­tion mem­bers and IT so­ci­ety of the re­gion. As an ac­tive per­son­al­ity he never misses re­joic­ing his life. Ku­mar loves lis­ten­ing mu­sic, read­ing books and gar­den­ing and to live his hobby he is also as­so­ci­ated with Lions Club As­sam.

Ku­mar lives in Tarun Na­gar, Guwahati with his wife San­tosh Agar­walla and a son and a daugh­ter and an idol for his fam­ily.

In­ter­est­ingly, he is also a vis­it­ing lec­turer of Royal group of Col­leges, Betkuchi, As­sam En­gi­neer­ing Col­lege, As­sam In­sti­tute of Man­age­ment and NERIM. He gives his best to mo­ti­vate youth across the NE and build­ing suc­cess­ful en­trepreneurs out of them.

“I want to share my thoughts and ex­pe­ri­ence be­yond my busi­ness field with peo­ple who urge to rise and pro­vide so­ci­ety an in­no­va­tive tech,” stated Ku­mar.
