UK based STK Ac­ces­sories is a divi­sion of the San­tok Group, widely ac­knowl­edged as a so­lu­tions provider in the telecom­mu­ni­ca­tions in­dus­try with a wide range of prod­ucts de­signed, man­u­fac­tured and dis­trib­uted glob­ally. Ma­jor in­vest­ments in the lat­est tech­nol­ogy en­sure that STK Ac­ces­sories re­mains the mar­ket leader in de­sign, re­search, de­vel­op­ment and man­u­fac­tur­ing. It has been pro­vid­ing the mo­bile ac­ces­sory over 20 years and cur­rently op­er­ates in 12 coun­tries.

What is your Go-To-Mar­ket strat­egy?

We have se­lected Red­ing­ton In­dia Lim­ited to be our Na­tional Dis­trib­u­tor. STK prod­ucts have al­ready been sold to Re­gional Dis­trib­u­tors across In­dia and are avail­able to buy in im­por­tant towns in­clud­ing Mum­bai, Delhi, Kolkata and Chen­nai. We plan for STK prod­ucts to be avail­able across the whole coun­try by the end of 2016.

How your so­lu­tions help IT or­ga­ni­za­tions/ peo­ple?

Our new range in­cludes prod­ucts that fea­ture ad­vanced tech­nolo­gies that will help IT or­gan­i­sa­tions and peo­ple. Our new Ap­ple ap­proved Qtouch Wire­less case (for iPhone 6/6S) and Qtouch Wire­less Charg­ing pad (for any Qi de­vice) is a first for In­dia, while our Nep­tune Power Bank is wa­ter­proof, dust­proof and an im­pact re­sis­tant de­sign and has an in­frared laser, torch and SOS light. Our Ex­plorer high def­i­ni­tion cam­era is wa­ter­proof and comes with 19 ac­ces­sories.

What are the re­cent de­vel­op­ments at the com­pany?

Re­cently, we con­sol­i­dated all our brands into one, STK, so mo­bile phone ac­ces­sories, smart phone and SIM op­er­ated desk phones are all branded STK. Two new di­rec­tors have re­cently come on board, one for Prod­uct De­vel­op­ment and one for Strat­egy and we have made a num­ber of changes es­sen­tial up­grades to our pack­ag­ing and prod­uct range.

What steps are you go­ing to take to tap the grow­ing need of ef­fi­ciency?

We have launched a new range of prod­ucts that fea­ture ad­vanced tech­nolo­gies and have mul­ti­ple fea­tures in one prod­uct. Our Nep­tune Power Bank is wa­ter­proof, dust­proof and an im­pact re­sis­tant de­sign and has an in­frared laser, torch and SOS light. We will con­tinue to of­fer prod­uct so­lu­tions to our fans that will en­hance the way they do things on a daily ba­sis.

Which are the ver­ti­cals and re­gions are you tar­get­ing now?

Our big­gest fo­cus will be on power banks, Blue­tooth prod­ucts and the ac­tion cam­era that falls un­der our new range of ‘Ac­tive ac­ces­sories’. As well as work­ing with Red­ing­ton to con­tinue to in­crease the pres­ence of STK across In­dia, we will be con­cen­trat­ing our ef­forts in key re­gions to grow our fan base.

What is your chan­nel strat­egy?

We will have over 150 dis­trib­u­tors and work with the top 5000 retail out­lets across the coun­try by 2016. We also in the fi­nal stages of plan­ning on­line strat­egy to work with sites like Snapdeal, Flip­kart, Ama­zon, Ebay, Paytm.

What is your ex­ist­ing chan­nel part­ner pro­gram?

For this quar­ter, STK is of­fer­ing a fes­tive scheme for Re­tail­ers with the prizes be­ing a trip abroad and free­bies on pur­chases.

What edge do your ser­vices of­fer to cus­tomers?

STK of­fers a 12 month free re­place­ment war­ranty. If a prod­uct is faulty then a cus­tomer can ex­change it any­where as long as they have an in­voice.

Which com­pa­nies do you con­sider as your com­pe­ti­tion in the In­dian mar­ket?

We would con­sider Belkin and Cap­dase to be our main com­pe­ti­tion in the In­dian mar­ket.

What chal­lenges you face in the mar­ket?

As a well-es­tab­lished, global brand we find that the main chal­lenges come from the grey mar­ket, where dan­ger­ous copy-prod­ucts are be­ing sold and we find that con­sumers do not re­alise what they are ac­tu­ally buy­ing.

Any tie-ups to be an­nounced in near fu­ture?

STK will soon be an­nounc­ing new launches ex­clu­sively on Ama­zon.

What are the busi­ness ex­pec­ta­tions and tar­gets that you have to set out to meet in In­dian and Mar­ket out­side In­dia?

Glob­ally, our tar­get in to grow by 35%

What are the com­pany’s fu­ture plans?

Our fu­ture plans are to grow and de­velop STK prod­ucts fo­cused on Power, Ac­tive and In­no­va­tion. We’ll be launch­ing new prod­ucts known as STK ‘app-ces­sories’ that en­able the con­sumer to use an STK mo­bile app to con­trol their ac­ces­sory.
