In or­der to pro­vide value added cour­ses and train­ing pro­grammes at V.E.T.B.V.L Polytech­nic col­lege in Ban­ga­lore, Hi­tachi Data Sys­tems Cor­po­ra­tion (HDS) has joined hands with Con­fed­er­a­tion of In­dian In­dus­try (CII) and EDS Tech­nolo­gies. The ob­jec­tive of this ini­tia­tive is to en­hance the em­ploy­a­bil­ity skills of the stu­dents be­long­ing to the eco­nom­i­cally weaker sec­tions of the so­ci­ety by pro­vid­ing them the re­quired tech­ni­cal knowl­edge and skills.

“Ta­lent has be­come the de facto re­quire­ment in the com­pet­i­tive busi­ness en­vi­ron­ment today and Hi­tachi Data Sys­tems feels proud to sup­port the Govt of In­dia’s vision of a Skilled In­dia” said Vivekanand Venu­gopal, vice pres­i­dent and general man­ager, Hi­tachi Data Sys­tems, In­dia. “With this learn­ing ini­tia­tive, we aim to help bridge the gap be­tween de­mand and sup­ply of skilled man­power and in­no­va­tive think­ing, for ex­ist­ing and fu­ture job op­por­tu­ni­ties. This train­ing will im­prove the em­ploy­a­bil­ity of stu­dents and make a pos­i­tive im­pact in the job mar­ket for years to come,” he added.
