Quick Heal signs MoU with In­dian com­puter emer­gency re­sponse team

Quick Heal Tech­nolo­gies Limited has signed a Mem­o­ran­dum of Un­der­stand­ing (MoU) with In­dian Com­puter Emer­gency Re­sponse Team, also re­ferred as CERT-In on March 11th, 2016. CERT-In is an or­ga­ni­za­tion es­tab­lished un­der the Min­istry of Com­mu­ni­ca­tion & In­for­ma­tion Tech­nol­ogy.

The MoU is to fur­ther im­prove com­puter se­cu­rity readi­ness and raise aware­ness around the im­por­tance of keep­ing sys­tems se­cure, us­ing soft­ware patch up­dates and adopt­ing cur­rent se­cu­rity prac­tices and pro­ce­dures. The MoU is aimed at work­ing to­gether to ad­dress the in­creas­ingly com­plex prob­lems as­so­ci­ated with com­puter se­cu­rity and com­puter-re­lated crime.

Com­ment­ing on the MoU, Kailash Katkar, MD & CEO, Quick Heal Tech­nolo­gies Limited said: “We are very ex­cited to col­lab­o­rate with CERT-In and we see this as an op­por­tu­nity to pro­vide our ex­per­tise for com­bat­ting com­puter and net­work se­cu­rity in­ci­dents oc­cur­ring in the country.” He fur­ther added: “We con­sider cre­at­ing aware­ness around cy­ber se­cu­rity as our pri­mary re­spon­si­bil­ity and our teams have been con­stantly in­no­vat­ing to in­tro­duce cut­ting edge se­cu­rity so­lu­tions for con­sumers and en­ter­prises to equip them to com­bat the evolv­ing threat land­scape. This MoU is yet an­other ef­fort to­wards build­ing safe and se­cure IT en­vi­ron­ments and on­line ex­pe­ri­ences in the country.”
