In a candid interaction with the DQ Channels, Amit Mittal, Director, Shree IT Solutions Pvt. Ltd. highlights Lenovo’s contribution in the growth of Shree IT Solutions’s commercial business
How was the performance of Shree IT Solutions in the FY 2016? What were your key growth drivers during the financial year? Amit:
These three quarters have been great so far, we are growing as there is an increase customer demands. The key growth drivers for this term will be an expansion of our product portfolio by offering Lenovo Server/Storage and various softwares.
What are your products and solutions offerings? How does the portfolio contribute to Shree IT Solution’s revenues? Amit:
We offer end to end solutions in IT-Hardware, Software, Networking and Service for the corporate clients. We also provide software solutions and Datacentre commissioning. Major portion of revenue is contributed by trading of hardware and software products. Solutions also contribute a significant portion.
What are the growing segments in your business? Which business verticals do you address? Amit:
The solutions segment is quite growing in our business. We are focusing on software offerings and networking projects. We are present in SMB, Mid and Large markets but stronger in the mid market.
How will you analyse the overall growth of IT business? Amit:
As Government has launched many initiatives, third party vendors have started working for them and gradually IT demand has also increased. Though, the margins are sinking but demands in end to end IT solutions are increasing.
How is your alignment with Lenovo? Amit:
We are Platinum partner with Lenovo and aligned for PC, Server and storage business. We are getting more support and product offering from Lenovo. This is resulting in increase in our revenue.
What are the key transformations you have observed in Lenovo’s server business strategy post IBM’s X86 Server Business acquisition? Amit:
Lenovo has opened its door for tier 2 partners like us. This has helped us to offer server and storage to our clients. This has led to more confidence and support to Lenovo partners to offer Server & storage products to clients.
How will you rate Lenovo’s Enterprise Channel program? How will you differentiate it from the other prominent vendors you are aligned with? What is the scope for improvement in Lenovo’s Enterprise Channel policy? Amit:
Shree IT Solutions is partner in commercial channel and Enterprise business. Overall policies of Lenovo is great, in comparison to others competitive brands, Lenovo’s policies are more friendly and satisfactory. The program’s focus is on helping us to grow and engage with our team members.
What are the key thrust areas in the FY17? What are your business strategies for expansion? Amit:
We are primarily focusing on acquiring some new clients in LE & VLE segment. We want to enter there as solution partner. Secondly, we want to enhance our presence on server and storage business. For geographical expansion front, we are waiting for GST to be implemented.
