Con­se­quent upon adop­tion of pol­icy of eco­nomic lib­er­al­iza­tion all over the world lead­ing to tum­bling of trade bar­ri­ers, free flow of cap­i­tal, glob­al­iza­tion of mar­kets, in­creased eco­nomic in­ter­de­pen­den­cies and foray of transna­tional ac­tiv­ity in ev­ery con­ceiv­able sec­tor, cor­po­rate gov­er­nance has, of late, be­come highly com­plex. Cor­po­rate or­ga­ni­za­tions hither to op­er­at­ing in highly pro­tected and reg­i­mented econ­omy and well versed only in man­ag­ing govern­ment are fac­ing the brunt of sur­vival be­cause cus­tomers are finicky and highly de­mand­ing. Cop­ing with the changes of sur­vival and growth, calls for switch­ing over from rudi­men­tary and mun­dane ap­proach of man­ag­ing busi­ness with ar­chaic tech­niques and limited skills to new ap­proach with new tech­niques on the one hand and changes in the mind-sets of the man­ag­ing or­ga­ni­za­tions on the other.
