L&T opens two in­sti­tutes in Gu­jarat

wo in­sti­tutes founded by Larsen & Toubro Group—L&T In­sti­tute of Project Man­age­ment (IPM) and L&T Power Train­ing In­sti­tute (PTI)— were re­cently in­au­gu­rated. IPM and PTI are sit­u­ated in a sprawl­ing green cam­pus be­hind L&T Knowl­edge City at Ankhol vil­lage, Ajwa-Wagho­dia cross­ing, Vado­dara.

IPM has been es­tab­lished in Vado­dara for fur­ther­ing ex­cel­lence in project man­age­ment. With a bas­ket of cour­ses, its knowl­edge ini­tia­tives are emerg­ing as bench­marks in project man­age­ment field. The en­tire five phases of

Tpro­ject life­cy­cle–ini­ti­at­ing, plan­ning, ex­e­cu­tion, mon­i­tor­ing and controlling, and clos­ing– are cov­ered in its ped­a­gogy, a release from L&T said.

IPM has a tie-up with Ge­orge Wash­ing­ton Univer­sity, USA, and Royal In­sti­tute of Char­tered Sur­vey­ors, and is a reg­is­tered ed­u­ca­tional provider of Project Man­age­ment In­sti­tute (PMI), USA.

PTI pro­vides a train­ing plat­form for power sec­tor pro­fes­sion­als. Us­ing case-study, field vis­its, sim­u­la­tor train­ing and in­ter­ac­tive in­for­ma­tion shar­ing by sub­ject ex­perts, PTI grooms a new gen­er­a­tion of power project man­agers.
