Government has triggered the LED lighting revolution
NTL Lemnis, as we understand, was to introduce the full range of LED lighting products for the Indian retail market by early 2015? What has been the response? In December 2014, NTL Lemnis launched its complete range of over 250 LED products for the retail market. And almost simultaneously, the EESL campaigns started, and we were the partners for them for providing LED lamps in numbers far surpassing what we had envisaged. We began in real earnest, around the second half of 2015 and today we are working on developing a strong and robust distribution channel. We have been able to tie-up with very good and known channel partners across different cities. We are increasing our footprint on a daily basis and the response to our offerings has been very heartening. End users are very appreciative of our range and we hope to become a preferred brand of choice in the coming years. Currently, what are the major Indian geographical regions that you are targeting and what is your plan of expanding your presence pan India? So far as project sales are concerned, we are already active in north, west and southern India. In the third quarter of the next financial year, our teams will be in place for eastern India as well.
For the retail segment, NTL Lemnis has been concentrating in northern and western India and has distribution and retail network in place across these geographies. Our southern region is under development and we will shortly (in 3-4 months) roll out our complete range across south. We are hoping to have a good distribution and retail network in place in the eastern region, towards the end of the current year as well.
