As part of the Godrej & Boyce Mfg Co Ltd, the Electrical & Electronics Division (E&E Division) has developed competencies over the years as an internal service provider in the field of electrical distribution and wanted to be part of nation building through power transmission & distribution. This inspired the division to diversify in the T&D segment. What are the main areas within the power T&D contracting segment that you work on? Our main focus areas are power distribution projects that are under various government schemes like DDUGJY, APDRP, FSP, HVDS and BRGF. In power transmission, our current focus is on AIS substations up to 400kV, GIS substations up to 66kV and transmission lines up to 220kV. We hear that G&B recently won a major village electrification order in Odisha. Tell us more on the scope of the order. Is this your company’s first rural electrification mandate?
