Maruti-Suzuki Baleno

It’s the quintessential city slicker

TTHE C-CLASS HAS GONE and this is what I’m in now. Over the past few weeks I seem to be spending more time in the Baleno on my daily commute. It’s just the sheer convenience of the Suzuki – it’s so easy to drive in the city, easy to park, the petrol engine is smooth and refined and it has CarPlay which is such a cool feature. It plays your music, reads out your messages, I’m teaching Siri to take notes and the touchscreen works very well. Also the space inside the car is massive, much more than the bigger cars I’ve been driving. It also gives great fuel efficiency. Downside? The ride is too stiff and the steering too vague and lifeless. Hope the latter gets addressed in the more-powerful Baleno RS coming later this year. ⌧
