Overall kmpl Costs this month QUITE FRANKLY, I WAS beginning to think that the Maruti Suzuki Dzire is an indestructible car. I have run it over Pune’s post monsoon (read destroyed) roads, done numerous trips to Mumbai through pouring rain and over increasingly deteriorating roads. I have taken it to Goa with a payload that would shame a C43 Hercules transport plane. Nothing, absolutely nothing bothered the damn thing. For an evaluator hell bent on finding that proverbial chink in the armour it got to a point where it was becoming frustrating. But now I can breathe a sigh of relief. The Dzire, after months of relentless hardship, has emitted its first squeak. It was over a patch of rubble

What is incredible is that even this happy squeak is not emitted by anything mechanical but plastic panels. If cars aren’t going to fall apart, how exactly is an honest hardworking scribe like me supposed to earn my bread? Bulletproof reliability be damned, I say.L
