Africa-India Partnership Day at Cote d'Ivoire
T he third edition of India-Africa Partnership Day was successfully organised by FICCI in collaboration with EXIM Bank of India on May 27, 2015 at Abidjan, Cote d' Ivoire.
India-Africa Partnership Day organised since 2013 on the sidelines of African Development Bank Group's Annual Meeting has become a robust forum bringing together the key players of the industry, government, financial intuitions etc. The session focused on the opportunities and scope for PPPs in various sectors particularly infrastructure.
The Indian business delegation led by Yaduvendra Mathur, CMD, EXIM Bank also represented sectors such as energy, agriculture & food processing, infrastructure, consultancy telecom & IT amongst others. The delegation was received by Daniel Kablan Duncan, Prime Minister of Cote d' Ivoire, at his office. The members also had bilateral meetings with Gaoussou Toure, Minister of Transport, Amadou Coulibaly, Minister of Agriculture and Mamadou Sanogo, Minister of Construction.
The visit of Indian delegation during the AFDB Annual Meeting was very well received by the Ivorian side. The B2B meetings organised by Chamber of Commerce & Industries gave an opportunity to Indian companies to explore possibilities for expansion, joint ventures and tieups with Ivorian industry. These meetings were worked out with the support of Indian Mission in Cote d' Ivoire.
