Finance Minister Piyush Goyal Inaugurates India Infrastructure Expo 2018

inaugurated the India Infrastructure Expo 2018 on 24 June 2018, which was organized by the Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, in partnership with FICCI. The three-day exposition coincided with the third Annual Meeting of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) in Mumbai on 25-26 June 2018. The Government of Chhattisgarh and Government of Gujarat were the partner states while the Government of Maharashtra was the host state.
At the exposition companies from the public and private sector showcased their latest solutions, technologies and offerings in the realm of infrastructure project development and delivery. The participating companies also exhibited their capabilities and key projects delivered over time. Another novel feature was the participation of several state governments and central ministries as they showcased investment opportunities in their respective regions and national flagship programmes to financial investors from across the world.
The exposition had state of the art digital display and offered the participants ample avenues to network and engage in business meetings with potential partners and investors. The highlight of the exposition was the oil & gas pavilion, which witnessed the participation of leading public-sector companies.
Some of the key national development programmes showcased included Smart Cities, Sagarmala, Bharatmala, Ganga Rejuvenation Plan and the River Linking project. More than 50 organizations participated in the exposition including IL&FS, Essel Infrastructure, GAIL, JSPL, Wapcos, HPCL, BPCL, NHAI, MMRDA, IREDA, ONGC, EIL and IIFCL.
