Expanding Horizons, Enhancing Trade
An exclusive interactive meeting was organized by the Royal Embassy of The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in India along with FICCI Kerala State Council to apprise of the existing good economic ties between India and Saudi Arabia and to explore possibility to further enhance trade and investment.
Saud Al-Sati, Saudi Ambassador to India, underlined the opportunities that Saudi Arabia provides. He urged the participants to visit Saudi Arabia to experience opportunities that the country offers. 'Kerala is a favoured destination for Saudis for tourism and health care,' added Saud and appreciated the key role played by Keralites towards growth and prosperity of Saudi Arabia. He assured the support and cooperation to Kerala-based companies and invited them to seek support of the Saudi Embassy in India. The ambassador stated that FICCI is a natural partner to Saudi Arabia in expanding its economic ties with India. Rajat Dogra, Senior Trade Adviser, Embassy of Saudi in India, shared the details regarding the potential of Saudi Arabia and the overall tax structure of Saudi Arabia, the new economic policies for trade and investment and the key sectors looking for growth and cooperation.
FICCI Kerala State Council, Co-Chair, Deepak L Aswani, mentioned about the overall strength of Kerala especially in sectors such as food, agro, IT, tourism, education, health, wellness, retail, logistics, finance and banking. Savio Mathew, Head, FICCI Kerala State, explained about FICCI's initiative in Saudi Arabia and overall trade and investments between Saudi Arabia and India.
