Emerging Opportunities for MSMEs
The Government of Telangana has enacted various industrial policies which provides a wide range of benefits to the promotion of industrial establishment and for the rapid industrial growth. Among the various industrial policies TS-iPASS is providing immense encouragement to the global market for establishments. Despite government's encouragement and promotional industrial policies MSMEs in Telangana are facing a number of problems like insufficient skilled manpower, sub-optimal scale of operation, technological obsolescence, supply chain inefficiencies, increasing domestic and competition from big organisations, working capital shortages.
Realising the importance of the MSME sector, FICCI and FTAPCCI along with the Business Standard organised a panel discussion on 'Emerging Opportunities for MSMEs in Telangana – The Way Forward' on 27 August 2018 in Hyderabad. The objective was to sensitise the MSMEs and other stakeholders about the emerging opportunities for MSMEs and to seek feedback from the industry.
During the inaugural session, Arun Luharuka, President, FTAPCCI and Devendra Surana, Chairman, FICCI Telangana State Council & Managing Director, Bhagya Nagar Telecom Ltd., delivered the welcome addresses. The panel discussion was moderated by Dasarath Reddy, Editor, Business Standard and the panelists included, B Yerram Raju, Advisor, Telangana Industrial Health Clinic Limited; PV Rao, Managing Director, Pennar Engineered Building Systems; T Muralidharan, Chairman, TMI Group – Talent Managers for Indians, World Wide & Co-chair, FICCI Telangana State Council; RK Bisen, Managing Director, Insmart Systems; and, K Vatsa Kumar, Deputy General Manager, SIDBI, Hyderabadabad BO.
