The Gov­ern­ment of Te­lan­gana has en­acted var­i­ous in­dus­trial poli­cies which pro­vides a wide range of ben­e­fits to the pro­mo­tion of in­dus­trial es­tab­lish­ment and for the rapid in­dus­trial growth. Among the var­i­ous in­dus­trial poli­cies TS-iPASS is pro­vid­ing im­mense en­cour­age­ment to the global mar­ket for es­tab­lish­ments. De­spite gov­ern­ment's en­cour­age­ment and pro­mo­tional in­dus­trial poli­cies MSMEs in Te­lan­gana are fac­ing a num­ber of prob­lems like in­suf­fi­cient skilled man­power, sub-op­ti­mal scale of op­er­a­tion, tech­no­log­i­cal ob­so­les­cence, sup­ply chain in­ef­fi­cien­cies, in­creas­ing do­mes­tic and com­pe­ti­tion from big or­gan­i­sa­tions, work­ing cap­i­tal short­ages.

Real­is­ing the im­por­tance of the MSME sec­tor, FICCI and FTAPCCI along with the Business Stan­dard or­gan­ised a panel dis­cus­sion on 'Emerg­ing Op­por­tu­ni­ties for MSMEs in Te­lan­gana – The Way For­ward' on 27 Au­gust 2018 in Hy­der­abad. The ob­jec­tive was to sen­si­tise the MSMEs and other stake­hold­ers about the emerg­ing op­por­tu­ni­ties for MSMEs and to seek feed­back from the in­dus­try.

Dur­ing the in­au­gu­ral ses­sion, Arun Luharuka, Pres­i­dent, FTAPCCI and Deven­dra Su­rana, Chair­man, FICCI Te­lan­gana State Coun­cil & Man­ag­ing Di­rec­tor, Bhagya Na­gar Tele­com Ltd., de­liv­ered the wel­come ad­dresses. The panel dis­cus­sion was mod­er­ated by Dasarath Reddy, Ed­i­tor, Business Stan­dard and the pan­elists in­cluded, B Yer­ram Raju, Ad­vi­sor, Te­lan­gana In­dus­trial Health Clinic Lim­ited; PV Rao, Man­ag­ing Di­rec­tor, Pen­nar En­gi­neered Build­ing Sys­tems; T Mu­ralid­ha­ran, Chair­man, TMI Group – Tal­ent Man­agers for In­di­ans, World Wide & Co-chair, FICCI Te­lan­gana State Coun­cil; RK Bisen, Man­ag­ing Di­rec­tor, Ins­mart Sys­tems; and, K Vatsa Ku­mar, Deputy Gen­eral Man­ager, SIDBI, Hy­der­abad­abad BO.
