Bharatdas Darshandas from Banej village, deep in the Gir forest in Junagadh, is a privileged voter. Election Commission sets up a booth solely for him in Una Assembly constituency since 2004 elections. Darshandas, a temple priest, would have walked 20 km through the dense forest of Gir to cast his vote if this special booth is not created. Darshandas is staying in this village for the last 10 years. He has already voted in 2007 and 2009 elections. “Every time two policemen and four-five election officials come here. I go there and cast my vote,” says Darshandas JAGANNATH CHATTERJEE
