Snap­dragon S4 Win­dows 8 Tablet

Dr Paul Ja­cobs show­cased the Win­dows 8 ARM tablet run­ning on Snap­dragon S4 MSM8960 pro­ces­sor dur­ing the key­note at CES 2012, Las Ve­gas. The tablet boasted LTE along with Metro UI with the high­light that the Snap­dragon pro­ces­sor stack did not need fans to cool down.

Qual­comm’s mi­ra­sol Dis­play Tech­nol­ogy

Qual­comm MEMS Tech­nolo­gies, a sub­sidy of Qual­comm In­cor­po­rated an­nounced Han­von C18, the thinnest and light­est ebook reader that in­cor­po­rates mi­ra­sol dis­play tech­nol­ogy. The touch dis­play will have bright colour even in bright sun­light and will of­fer great read­ing ex­pe­ri­ence. It is mainly meant for the Chi­nese mar­ket.

Len­ovo Idea Tab S2

We got a glimpse of Len­ovo’s S2 tablet that runs Qual­comm’s 1.5GHZ dual core Snap­dragon 8960 pro­ces­sor. This 10-inch tablet will have An­droid v4.0 on­board.

Skifta Me­dia Shift­ing Plat­form

For en­ter­tain­ment-driven con­sumer elec­tron­ics, Qual­com Atheros an­nounced the Skifta Me­dia Shift­ing Plat­form. De­vices pow­ered by this plat­form will cre­ate a frame­work for a wire­less plat­form that can be used for stream­ing dig­i­tal mu­sic, pho­tos and videos around the home.
