Snapdragon S4 Windows 8 Tablet
Dr Paul Jacobs showcased the Windows 8 ARM tablet running on Snapdragon S4 MSM8960 processor during the keynote at CES 2012, Las Vegas. The tablet boasted LTE along with Metro UI with the highlight that the Snapdragon processor stack did not need fans to cool down.
Qualcomm’s mirasol Display Technology
Qualcomm MEMS Technologies, a subsidy of Qualcomm Incorporated announced Hanvon C18, the thinnest and lightest ebook reader that incorporates mirasol display technology. The touch display will have bright colour even in bright sunlight and will offer great reading experience. It is mainly meant for the Chinese market.
Lenovo Idea Tab S2
We got a glimpse of Lenovo’s S2 tablet that runs Qualcomm’s 1.5GHZ dual core Snapdragon 8960 processor. This 10-inch tablet will have Android v4.0 onboard.
Skifta Media Shifting Platform
For entertainment-driven consumer electronics, Qualcom Atheros announced the Skifta Media Shifting Platform. Devices powered by this platform will create a framework for a wireless platform that can be used for streaming digital music, photos and videos around the home.
