One of the next big thrusts in the world of technology will be to rid the world of wires. Wireless is already becoming a key feature in most devices as no one wants to be tethered to any one place. One of the pioneers in wireless technology has been Apple with its AirPlay technology that lets you stream media wirelessly across the house from and to multiple devices. Though a bit late off the blocks, Bose has finally launched an AirPlay compatible device in the Soundlink Air digital music system.
The device is compact and not larger than the regular iPod docks. It takes about 20 minutes to set up the system as you have to connect it to a computer and download the AirPlay software to your Wi-Fi network and log the device in.
