It is a testament to the practicality of the all-in-one computer that it took us just two minutes to install the Lenovo ThinkCentre Edge 92Z. It helped that this one comes with a wireless keyboard and mouse, which you will not have to use much thanks to the touchscreen.
The Edge 92Z doesn’t take up much space and was easily accommodated at an edge of our office table. That is a big leap for a device that can replace your old computer, and maybe a television. This is a Windows 7 computer, but still we had no trouble using it with just the touchscreen which is very responsive.
The 21.5inch 1080p LED display with IPS wide viewing angle has to be one of the best things about this device. It was a pleasure working on front of the screen as was leaning back to enjoy a movie. The sound quality, enhanced by Dolby Advance Audio, is also among the best we have encountered in any all-in-one. In fact, the entertainment quotient of this device is good enough for it to be recommended for just afterhours play and no work.
But on the other side, this computer is powerful enough to be used for commercial purposes, especially where there is a space crunch. It is powered by an Intel Core i5-3470S processor that had no trouble with the tests we threw at it. Then there is the Lenovo Solution Centre that lets small businesses easily control the device as well as Simple Tap features that let users download apps for the all-touch environment.
This also lets you create additional work spaces, which is ideal for workstations that are shared by multiple users.
Easier access to at least one USB port is something we could have asked for on this device.
BAG IT OR JUNK IT?
Arguably the best all-in-one option at the moment.
