Thanks to the extra-large touch displays, Full HD screens, multiple cores and constant connectivity, our smartphones and tablets now need large batteries. But they still die on you when you need the device the most. This is why it makes sense for all smartphone users to invest in a portable mobile power bank to recharge your device on the go.

Most chargers in the Indian market are Chinese-made and look the same. But the Ultra'Go mini power station from Calibre Style is very different. This compact square has the build quality of a SSD drive and can easily slide into you jeans pocket. Beautiful curves and the metallic finish give it a premium feel, while not mak- ing it heavy.

There is a notification light that blinks when the device is charging. The USB port can be used for output while micro USB port is for input, both covered by a magnetic flap.

The good thing about this one is that it vibrates to show how much charge it has. Four times means a full charge, while three indicated 75 per cent and so on. Once fully charged, the 3500 mAh battery on the Ultra'Go could charge our iPhone 4 twice with still some power left in it. This means it can give a full charge to a Samsung Galaxy S4 or can partially charge a tablet.

In the box is a USB cable for charging and a carrying case.

BAG IT OR JUNK IT: Very stylish device with good power backup.
