THE EYE CARE MONITOR
BENQ GW2760HS 20,000 SPECS: 27-inch VA LED 1080p panel, 16.7 million colours, 3000:1 contrast, 27W
ANYONE WHO HAS TO WORK long hours on a laptop or desktop computers knows the toll it starts taking on your eyesight. Most displays have a refresh rate and hence it much more stressful for the eye than looking at a static object. This is where the new range of flicker-free monitors hope to make a difference.
We tested BenQ’s GW2760HS, which is a 27-inch flicker-free monitor. The monitor has a sleek design with a black bezel running around the screen. The difference here is that the buttons for adjusting the display or selecting a source are all at the rear, with dots in the front to indicate where they are. We found this a bit awkward and would have preferred capacitive touch buttons.
But the one thing we did not have complaints with was the display. It does not take you long to realise that this one is much easier on the eye. It uses a HD VA LED which does not have a flickering backlight light regular LEDs. The monitor cleared most tests and should be able to live up to your expectations without any issue.
