As Google Nexus phones are officially available in India now, I am thinking of buying one. The Nexus 5 has been launched, but the Nexus 4 is also available. I am confused. Which one should I buy and why?

ANUBRAT, on email

The price difference between the Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 isn’t much. If budget is not a constrain, I would recommend the Nexus 5 which runs on Android KitKat.

I want to buy an Android phablet with a screen larger than 5 inches, costing below Rs 10,000. Can you suggest a few options worth considering?

Most of the smartphones today have a 5 inch display and there are many phablets that fall in this price category. The ones worth considering are Karbonn Titanium S2, Micromax Canvas 3D, Zen 701HD, Intex Aqua i4 and Gionee EG3.

I am looking for a laptop for topnotch gaming in addition to carrying out everyday tasks. Should I go for laptops like Alienware? Is Apple a good alternative for gaming? Budget is between Rs 80,000 to Rs1lakh.

PUNEET SINGH, on email

If you are serious about gaming, the best laptop will be Alienware. The latest one is the Alienware 14 but it is priced slightly higher than your budget at

` 1,13,000. But you could also consider Apple's MacBook Pro as games work well on Apple machines too.
