sAmsung unveils gAlAxy s8 And s8+
Korean smartphone giant Samsung unveiled its new flagship at the Unpacked event in New York. Samsung aims to tide over its Note 7 battery fiasco with the launch of the Galaxy S8 which boasts larger display and a new voice assistant software. The Galaxy S8 comes in two screen sizes – the 5.8-inch Galaxy S8 and 6.2-inch Galaxy S8+. Samsung has introduced ‘infinity display’ on these phones – a bezel-less display that gives the illusion of a bigger screen. The S8 also features Samsung’s new artificial intelligence service, Bixby, which responds to voice commands. Samsung has added a 12-MP dual pixel sensor with F1.7 lens and large 1.4μm pixels known to capture more light. There is also an 8-MP front-facing camera with F1.7 lens and auto focus. To enhance security features, Samsung has added an iris scanner along with a fingerprint sensor. It continues to be dust and water resistant with IP68 certification. Both the models have 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. The Samsung Galaxy S8 runs on 3,000 mAh battery, while the S8+ will have a 3,500 mAh battery. Both the devices support wireless charging.
