Af­ter lAunch­ing the View 10, pow­ered by ar­ti­fi­cial in­tel­li­gence (AI), Honor is now back with a mid-seg­ment smart­phone, the Honor 9 Lite – priced at 10,999 for the 32 GB vari­ant and 14,999 for the 64 GB vari­ant, in grey, blue and black colours. These are avail­able ex­clu­sively on Flip­kart. Honor 9 Lite boasts a quad-cam­era mod­ule; it fea­tures a dual cam­era at the front as well as rear. It sports a 13-MP quad cam­era set-up which is paired with a rear 13-MP dual-lens cam­era and PDAF fast fo­cus. It also has an ad­vance wide aper­ture mode for users to re­fine the fo­cus af­ter capturing an im­age.

The smart­phone fea­tures a 5.65-inch, bezel-less, full HD dis­play in a com­pact body. Run­ning on An­droid Oreo with EMUI 8.0, it is pow­ered by Kirin 695 octa-core pro­ces­sor paired with 3 GB of RAM.

The EMUI 8.0 has been de­signed in-house at the com­pany’s R&D cen­tre in In­dia and prom­ises to de­liver a qual­ity user experience, aided by AI-pow­ered Real Time Scene and Ob­ject Recog­ni­tion. The de­vice is equipped with en­hanced F2FS file sys­tem, re­sult­ing in more op­ti­mised sys­tem caching and no more wor­ry­ing about the de­vice get­ting slower over time. The de­vice sup­ports ex­pand­able mem­ory of up to 256 GB and comes with a 3,000 mAh bat­tery. Honor has also added a fin­ger­print scan­ner at the rear with a quick un­lock­ing ca­pa­bil­ity – the phone un­locks in 0.25 sec­onds.
