IOC starts pro­duc­ing gas, con­den­sate from Dirok field

in­di­anoil cor­po­ra­tion has started pro­duc­tion of gas and con­den­sate from Dirok field from Au­gust 26, mark­ing ad­vent of its first do­mes­tic ex­plo­ration as­set ma­tur­ing from ex­plo­ration stage to a pro­duc­ing as­set.

iocl holds 29.03 per­cent par­tic­i­pat­ing in­ter­est in the block, lo­cated in as­sam, along with Hin­dus­tan oil ex­plo­ration com­pany (op­er­a­tor) and oil in­dia lim­ited (li­censee). The ini­tial pro­duc­tion from the field, termed phase-i, is around 10 mil­lion stan­dard cu­bic feet per day of gas and 120-140 bar­rels of oil per day of con­den­sate from three wells.
