Samajwadi shift

Governance Now - - BRIEFINGS -

after poll rout in uttar Pradesh, nothing seems to be okay in the Samajwadi Party. When party founder mulayam Singh Yadav was not seen in the state convention of the party, it was being speculated that he was set to launch a new party. However, he later dismissed such reports. Meanwhile, two senior leaders, Azam Khan and Beni Prasad Verma who were seen in the mulayam Singh Yadav camp, were present in the event. This is hinting at their shift from Mulayam to Akhilesh’s camp. Khan, who was on both the sides during the tussle between the father and the son publically announced that he was with the inheritor of netaji’s legacy. Verma, who was with mulayam during the up polls did not manage to get the ticket for his son and his presence at the event hinted a shift in the camp.
