Two As on apex court’s mind
Two ‘A’s – Aadhaar and Ayodhya – will be on top of the mind of supreme court judges in 2018. The fate of Aadhaar will be decided after a five-judge constitution bench will begin final hearings January 17 onwards. earlier, the apex court had said the deadline for linking Aadhaar with many services, including mobile phones, would be March 31. The apex court will also reopen hearings in a set of cases related to the disputed Ayodhya site on February 8. senior advocate Kapil sibal, representing the Sunni waqf board, requested the court to give it “reasonable time” to file documents. he had also asked the court to have hearings after general elections in 2019.
