• To­tal waste to dump­ing grounds per day: 6,951.07 MT

To­tal solid waste gen­er­ated

1. MSW trans­ported: 7,700 Mt/day

2. S&D waste trans­ported: 800 Mt/day

3. Bio-med­i­cal waste trans­ported: 15 Mt/day

4. Gar­den & horticultural waste: 16Mt/day

Waste pro­cessed at all sites

1. Deonar: Re­view of ear­lier ten­ders for biore­ac­tor waste-toen­ergy project of 3,000 Mt/day. No re­sponse

2. Mu­lund: Af­ter pro­cess­ing starts at Deonar, Mu­lund ground will be shut and ten­ders in­vited for bio methani­sa­tion waste-toen­ergy plant

3. Kan­jur­marg: Com­post­ing + biore­ac­tor & waste-to-en­ergy + SLF go­ing on. 3,000MT pro­cessed daily

• Num­ber of ve­hi­cles trans­port­ing waste to dump­ing grounds per day: 1,123

• To­tal num­ber of trips per day by these ve­hi­cles: 1,900

• To­tal hous­ing so­ci­eties in Mum­bai: 35,000

• Hous­ing so­ci­eties seg­re­gat­ing their own waste: 60%

• Num­ber of ALMS: 276

• Ac­tive ALMS: 142 (BMC is in the process of dereg­is­ter­ing those which are not do­ing sat­is­fac­tory work)
