BJP MPS ahead in hate speech, crime against women
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) lawmakers top the list of MPS and MLAS having declared cases of crime against women and hate speeches.
Out of 1,580 all MPS and MLAS with criminal cases, 48 (three MPS and 45 MLAS) have declared cases related to crime against women. And, out of these 48, BJP has the highest number of lawmakers, i.e., 12 followed by SHS (Shiv Sena) with 7 and AITC (All India Trinamool Congress) with 6 MPS/MLAS who have declared cases related crimes against women. The Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) and National Election Watch have analysed MPS’ and MLAS’ affidavtis in two seperate reports. Meanwhile, of the 58 MPS and MLAS having declared cases of hate speech, 10 of the party’s MPS, including union minister Uma Bharti and 17 MLAS top the list together.
