BJP MPS ahead in hate speech, crime against women

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) law­mak­ers top the list of MPS and MLAS hav­ing de­clared cases of crime against women and hate speeches.

Out of 1,580 all MPS and MLAS with crim­i­nal cases, 48 (three MPS and 45 MLAS) have de­clared cases re­lated to crime against women. And, out of these 48, BJP has the high­est num­ber of law­mak­ers, i.e., 12 fol­lowed by SHS (Shiv Sena) with 7 and AITC (All In­dia Tri­namool Congress) with 6 MPS/MLAS who have de­clared cases re­lated crimes against women. The As­so­ci­a­tion for Demo­cratic Re­forms (ADR) and National Elec­tion Watch have an­a­lysed MPS’ and MLAS’ af­fi­davtis in two seper­ate re­ports. Mean­while, of the 58 MPS and MLAS hav­ing de­clared cases of hate speech, 10 of the party’s MPS, in­clud­ing union min­is­ter Uma Bharti and 17 MLAS top the list to­gether.
