Cochin Port is­sues work or­der for cruise ter­mi­nal

cochin Port Trust has is­sued work or­der to com­mence the con­struc­tion of new cruise ter­mi­nal at er­naku­lum Wharf of cochin Port by Fe­bru­ary 2020.

The new cruise ter­mi­nal will be able to han­dle 5,000 tourists and have 2,253 square me­tres of area. it would be hav­ing fa­cil­i­ties like pas­sen­ger lounge, crew lounge, 30 im­mi­gra­tion coun­ters, eight cus­toms clear­ance coun­ters, seven se­cu­rity check coun­ters, Wi-fi, tourist in­for­ma­tion counter and duty-free shop­ping among many oth­ers. The es­ti­mated con­struc­tion cost of the ter­mi­nal is ₹25.72 crore and of this, ₹21.41crore has been sanc­tioned by the union min­istry of tourism.
