Tried and tested
A lush treat
W hen I received a message from Rene Melek, hairstylist and owner of Rene Melek’s Salon, inviting me for a hair spa session to celebrate her salon’s first anniversary, I was delighted. Meeting Rene is always a pleasure as she is full of energy and passion for hairdressing and no conversation with her is ever dull. The idea of tying up with a brand such as Rene Furterer for the salon’s first anniversary was a brilliant one, as both the brand and the salon are known for their high quality and deluxe service. I was introduced to Pema Bhutia, Training Manager, Rene Furterer (Modi Revlon Pvt. Ltd.), who had a detailed consultation session with me as she analysed my hair and scalp. I explained to her how due to the change in weather, my scalp has become oily and flaky. She concluded that while my hair didn’t require much treatment, my scalp certainly did and she started off with the Rene Furterer hair spa ritual. She began with the prepare step with an application of Rene Furterer Complexe 5, which tones the scalp and fortifies the hair, reinforces the effectiveness of treatment care and activates microcirculation. Next was the treatment step that involved the application of the treatment gel to completely eliminate dandruff, deep cleanse the scalp and get rid of itchiness. The treatment gel contained a special ingredient called Melaleuca that helps in recovering the internal balance of the scalp. This was followed by a round of shampooing. Pema then applied a hair mask and allowed my locks to soak in the goodness of its ingredients with steam. She then rinsed it off. A quick blow-dry later, I was left to enjoy the beauty of my tresses and to feel the comfort of a thoroughly cleansed scalp. During the entire routine, Pema pointed out to me the effects of the ingredients as well as the soothing scents of the products. The Rene Furterer experience turned out to be a wonderful treat… one that I would like to indulge in again!
