Meet Vrinda Dawda, the small-screen beauty who captured hearts with her girl-next-door charm, as she tells you how to keep things simple!
Vrinda Dawda stole the hearts of the Indian audience with her performance in Dil Dostii Dance. When it comes to her hair and skincare regime, the young and beautiful actress believes in simple tips and practices.
Who is the most beautiful person you’ve seen or met in your life?
The most beautiful thing in my life is my family! Will and always be! Apart from them, it has to be Amar Gowda, a very close friend from the cast of my previous show, Dil Dostii Dance.
What’s your skincare regime like?
My skin is very sensitive and I need to take care of it regularly. I follow the basics, which is moisturising my skin every day, going for skin clean-ups every week, applying rose water on my skin every night and drinking lots of water and coconut water.
How do you take care of your hair?
I make it a point to wash my hair every two days. I only use products by Wella Professionals — that’s one brand that suits my hair. I keep my hair tied up to escape dust and grime when it’s not necessary to leave it loose. I also oil my hair every week with almond oil.
Any haircare or skincare tips handed down to you by your grandmother or mother?
There are no such tips that I can think of. I just always try and use chemical-free products, which is becoming a bit tough these days. I indulge in homemade face packs once in a while.
Which are your favourite spa and salon destinations?
I am a member of Enrich Salons, so that’s the chain I visit frequently for everything. I don’t have a favourite spa as such, but love trying out new places every now and then.
What are your favourite skincare and make-up products?
I usually use products by Kryolan and M.A.C. I just love these brands.
What make-up products will one always find in your bag?
You will always find a kohl pencil and compact from M.A.C, lipstick and blush from Colorbar, Maybelline mascara, and Victoria’s Secret lip balm.
What’s the biggest skincare mistake you’ve ever made?
As I said, my skin is very sensitive and face wipes, cold wipes and peels don’t suit me. As a teenager, I once ended up trying orange peels on my face, and my skin started burning very badly.
What’s your fitness regime?
Eating healthy, lots of exercise and regular workouts keep me fit. Getting adequate amount of sleep and drinking lots of water also help.
What are your favourite cuisines? On a cheat day, what do you love eating?
I love everything made at home, including all my Gujarati delicacies. On a cheat day, I would definitely gorge myself on pani puris. Given a chance and choice, I can eat it all the time!
What’s the best compliment you’ve ever received?
Right from my school days, I have always been told that I have a really nice smile. These days I have also been getting a lot of compliments for my hair.
Career-wise, what’s next? What’s your dream role?
I have been auditioning for a couple of shows, but can’t reveal anything right now. I would love to work in a comedy show. I have played positive and negative roles, and something fun is what I am looking for right now.
