Tell us something about your educational background…

A marketing enthusiast, I graduated from the University of Manchester in 2012 with a double honours degree in Business Studies and Economics.

As the scion of Vineet Kapur, how do you plan to take the brand forward?

Being a scion brings with it a whole lot of expectations from the society. My father has made the biggest benchmark in the industry and it is now my responsibility to expand operations globally under his guidance.

Your biggest challenge…

The lack of skincare education among masses. Skincare is more than just cleansing, toning and moisturising. It has been my father’s vision to expose India to the various international developments in the skincare industry through the medium of O3+. We need to conduct more seminars and educational workshops to educate people. My technical team is setting a record in the interiors of Nepal by conducting 25 seminars and reaching out over 3000 enthusiastic beauticians in a span of 27 days.

Your take on the beauty and wellness industry in India…

The beauty and wellness industry in India contributes largely to the Indian economy. What is lacking is skilled manpower and compliance with the standards across the country. I believe there is a lot of scope for a young entrepreneur like me to generate job opportunities, maintain quality and

Your feelings about the O3+ academy…

My father has always been very passionate about conducting educational and motivational seminars through the O3+ academy. It gives me immense pleasure to see people coming down from all parts of the world. The dermal therapists at the O3+ academy not only give product trainings but also educate people about the skin and its various functions. Our academy has a special section, which gives paid internships to underprivileged people under the age of 20. These people have mentors who help them groom their personalities and train them on various aspects in the beauty business.

Apart from O3+, which other brands you would like to work with or have under the umbrella of ‘visage’ ?

We have about six leading professional skincare brands. We have Pedilogix, which deals with advanced Podology and Footceuticals Sciences and TWC (The Waxing Company) that deals with depilation. We also have the O3+ Men’s Range, which is moving very well in the industry. Agelock is an exclusive range that is used in the top salons in India.

How will you felicitate the salon owners you are working with, this year?

I always believe that after sales service and personal relations matter the most. My father always tells me that 40% of the sales happens with the help of PR. We have already announced the 10th year anniversary celebration of O3+ at Istanbul and all our esteemed clients are invited. Moreover, we are dedicated to transform every skincare beautician into a qualified dermal therapist through training programmes that guarantee maximum opportunities and revenues for salon and spa owners.

Your plans for the upcoming year…

O3+ has recently been announced as the most recommended facial offered by salons nationwide in beauty as well as men’s grooming. This year, I wish to develop our herbal wellness brand Sara Herbals and O3+ in the Middle East. Also, the research team of O3+ is working extensively with the professors from Harvard Business School, USA in order to develop business strategies.

Your views on men’s grooming...

There has been a very significant boom in the grooming industry for men. However, what needs to be made clear is that skincare products for men are not just a marketing gimmick. A lot of research goes behind the formulation and selection of ingredients suitable for the relatively harder skin.
