The first Geetanjali salon was opened in Green Park Market, South Delhi, by Prem Israni and Neetu Israni with the aim of offering the best services not only in hair, skin and beauty but also in bridal makeup and professional makeovers. There are more than 15 salons at prime locations, including one at the American Embassy, and the salon has grown from a 10-artiste team to 500 professionals Sumit Israni joined Geetanjali Salon in the year 1998 after returning from London where he studied in various prominent institutes and worked with the best professionals in the world of hair and beauty. Sumit Israni embedded himself with the belief that “hair cutting is a visual art; it should manifest one’s personality and therefore must be individualised”. After years of training and accumulating experience from the best in his profession (Vidal Sassoon, Guy Kremer, Jo Hansford, Jacques Dessange to name a few), today Sumit is undoubtedly one of the most sought after hair stylists with the finest panache for hair colouring. He is a personal favourite of many stars from the Bollywood and fashion fraternity such as Shahid Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Lisa Haydon and many eminent personalities including the glorious and gorgeous Hillary Clinton and Michelle Obama.

Geetanjali Salon partnered with PVR Director’s Cut to showcase designer Khushali Kumar’s collection‘Reve’. The look of the models was designed to be Victorian from the 1920s era. The team from Geetanjali Salon created high-twisted French buns complemented with extended winged eyes and ox-blood lips to add a touch of grandeur to the show.
