It’s the most important hairstyle you’ll ever wear. Here’s what to expect from your bridal hair session with your sylist and the dos and don’ts of preparing for it…

Hair - - Hair Care -

Some hairdressers specialise in updos and bridal hair. Don’t always assume that booking your usual stylist will ensure the best look. They may be able to give you your usual trim and root touch-up, but can they create a work of art? Do your research and look online for recommended bridal hair experts in your area, or get referrals from recently married friends. Hair terms like “large bun”, “soft waves” and “chic” mean different things to different people. It makes things really difficult for your stylist if you don’t bring pictures of the looks you have in mind. Bring imagery – lots of it! Taking a few pieces of hair out of an updo can really sofen and flatter the face, but don’t go overboard by having too many or wearing them too long… you want to look beautiful… not like a 90s throwback! Whether your big day dress features a sweetheart neckline, a one shoulder style or full length lace sleeves – bear all of this in mind when deciding on your hairstyle. You don’t want to opt for something that covers up or detracts from the most important garment you’ll ever wear!
